Qi Kung

At this point in history, it seems necessary that we abandon our habitual assumptions and work to discover the essential principles underlying all that we do.” -Peter Ralston, 1978

A calm mind and a relaxed body that moves from its centre and is grounded and fully aware is the natural condition of body ‘being’ in balance. Aligning with these naturally occurring principles will be at the heart of our Qigong and Taji training:

To seek stillness and create movement from it....

Cheng Hsin translates as Honest Heart. This will be the intention of our training as we contemplate ‘body-being’ (being a body), and effective interaction (relationship to anything else) with a grounded openness to discovering something deeper and truer within our own experience so that real transformation is possible:

…To seek truth and to create being from it

This approach is myriad but not arbitrary. Like any art form, Taiji / Qigong is a form, a creative process that allows one to explore what is internal, personal, and essentially formless. So whether your interest is Martial Arts, Meditation, Health, or anything else please come and check it out!
